No. All of our courses teach students the correct way to dictate. You'll learn how to dictate with a crisp, clean, low-volume voice that will also produce excellent recognition.
Yes. To begin this course, you will need Dragon Naturally Speaking v16 either Professional or Legal, a laptop that meets the specification requirements, a steno mask and/or a headset for dictation, and a sound card. Needed CAT software, other software, and equipment can be purchased later, if need be.
Some of it is, yes. One of the benefits of voice writing is it's not as repetitive as stenography. Stenographers type on their machine while working, and a keyboard while working on transcripts.
